Anonymous Declares War On Scientology

An internet-based hacking group known as ‘Anonymous’ has gained wide support on sites such as Youtube since announcing a public vendetta against the notorious cult of Scientology.

The first video announcement (below) was made after a promotional video starring Tom Cruise was leaked, and subsequently taken down for copyright infringement after embarrassed Scientologists complained.

Anonymous (who wish to remain.. anonymous) have also allegedly brought down various Scientology websites with a string of DDOS Attacks, hacked an FTP server containing confidential documents (which I have copies of) and organised simultaneous anti-scientology marches around the globe including London on the 10th Febuary.

Scientology supporters have responded in kind, attacking sites connected with Anonymous, such as 711chan.org. It’s all getting a bit messy, but pretty entertaining to watch nonetheless.
